 Warnings issued to the wholesale and retail enterprises in jalandhar and kapurthala regarding fssai number!






The quality standards of Indian food is declining day by day according to the sources ,Over 25% of food samples in the Indian state of Haryana and Punjab  have been found to fail food quality tests conducted by the local Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) claiming they are getting better at enforcing policies. Many of the retail and wholesale enterprises have been running without Fssai  in our state from many years , and can also be the reason of low food  quality in the state . The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) was set up in 2008 for the proper monitoring of food hygiene and quality in India but the reality is far away from this .

Yestarday ie (02/03/21) there was a surprise check by the officers for food safety and security  authority of indian ,in mandis of jalandhar and Kapurthala , for analysing the count of shops and enterprises running without the fssai number , and the results where that there were approximately only 10% of shops which were having the fssai number , the rest was not mentioned under the Fssai.

The officers warned the shopkeepers as to get them registered under Fssai , otherwise the list will be followed to the Deputy Commissioner for futher actions against the defaulters .
